The looming crisis we never thought of

In our country, children’s grades and academic achievements always take priority, while creativity receives much less attention. However, we often forget that practicing creativity or any art form is important not only for becoming an artist but also for developing an aesthetic mind and empathy. For instance, a person with an artistic mindset is less likely to harm nature or litter the streets. Only a few privileged schools offer opportunities to nurture their students’ artistic talents and creativity, leaving the rest of the children with little to no opportunities. For underprivileged children, the idea of practicing art may seem like a joke. So, a question arises: are we raising a non-aesthetic future generation?

Furthermore, children often equate art solely with painting, but nowadays art is everywhere—from our clothing to the magnificent architecture of buildings, digital screens, vehicles, electronics, and accessories. Early exposure to art can have a significant impact on a child’s life, fostering an entrepreneurial spirit based on their artistic interests. For example, art-based vocational training could pave the way for an underprivileged young girl to become a future boutique entrepreneur rather than a garment worker.

Additionally, young people who might otherwise have to do laborious work to support their families may view practicing art and creativity as a luxury. We cannot include them in this mission if we do not create quick opportunities for them. Specific and quick art-based vocational training and a proper platform for selling can be a key to transform these young labourers into young artists.

The School Art Ambassador program, Supporting and Inducting School Art Clubs, and Publishing Digital Magazine on Art are initiatives by Art Creates Hope (ACH) designed to foster art and creativity among young people. These programs aim to bring schools, parents, and teachers into alignment with our mission. Regular art competitions and exhibitions keep children motivated year-round, while our network connects them. We aim to expand the Art Ambassador and School Art Club programs globally in the coming days.

Hope Model

Connecting creativity with opportunity, our process empowers underprivileged artists, provides training, and fosters a supportive network to bring hope and purpose to every creation.
